How long does it take before a newly made mold is ready for use?
14 May,2026
Newly cast plaster molds must be fully cured and dry before use. Wait at least 48–72 hours after casting before attempting to slip the mold; ideally, allow the mold to cure for a full week. Molds that are not completely dry cannot effectively absorb moisture from the slip, resulting in insufficient strength in the green body.
